First of all, if you’ve just been through a break up, your self esteem might be a bit damaged. Don’t get the wrong idea and think that you will never be the man that you need to be. Not true. All you need is a little bit of information, a little tweaking of your thought processes, and you will be well on your way to getting your girlfriend back. There was a reason why she dated you in the first place, so that is good news. You just got off track, and now it’s time to get back on.

What a woman really wants doesn’t have anything to do with what she may ‘say’ she wants. This may sound odd, but sometimes a woman may even read her own inner signals incorrectly and be confused about her own basic needs. For instance, if a woman has been hurt by a past relationship with a man who has anger problems, she may think that she wants a soft spoken, gentle man who gives in to her every desire. This lasts for about a month and suddenly she finds herself bored with the relationship, not even knowing why. That’s because a woman’s true needs have to do with how she is wired. They are deeply ingrained in her womanhood.

The things I am going to share with you are true for ALL women. When you have an understanding of them, you will be able to give her what she REALLY wants.

Leadership - A woman wants a man who will be the ‘man’. This doesn’t mean that you should be a bully or an insensitive jerk. What a woman needs is the balance of a man who is sensitive and loving, but will take the leadership role when necessary and be willing to stand up to her. She may rebel to this at first, but trust me, her femininity is wired to respond to your masculinity. She wants a man who can be one.

Protection - A woman has a deep seated need to feel safe and protected with you. That doesn’t mean that you need to start packing a gun and it certainly doesn’t mean that you have to be 6’5 and able to bench press 300 lbs. What she is looking for is a man who is willing to stick up for her, be there for her, and reassure her that everything is going to be all right.

Purpose - A woman needs a man who is goal oriented, self assured, and able to handle his own affairs. A man who knows what he wants out of life and out of his career is self assured and extremely sexy. She wants to baby you, but trust me, she doesn’t want to be your mother.

Provider - How can she trust you to take care of her if you can’t even take care of yourself? Times are tough, and these days it usually takes more than one income to make ends meet. This is understood. She still has the need to view you as a good ‘provider’ though. If you are having trouble holding down a job, or worse yet, she is driving you to work because you don‘t own your own vehicle, don’t expect the flames to keep burning for too long.

These four keys are vital to getting your relationship back. These are qualities that ALL women want in a man. They are the foundational truths that can’t be changed. Take this information and use it to change the things that you ‘thought’ were true about what she wanted. It shouldn’t be long until you have your girlfriend back in your arms, and this time it will be for good.
