I have been that guy in the "i've got nothing to lose" relationship a few times, and you are right. The confidence this attitude brings drives the girls crazy. Then when I realized I really wanted to stay with this one girl I guess my "I've got nothing to lose" attitude became the "don't screw it up this time, idiot" attitude, and then just like you said, it was over in a month or two. They are wired differently than men. Yes it's true that they don't always mean what they say, but come to think about it, guys do the same thing too. In any relationships what both of you should do is keep the line of communication between the two of you open. Be honest with each other. If you want your partner to listen to you, you have to listen to your partner. Win-win situation. Like you said, your girlfriend wanted you to agree with everything she did.
