1. They are not necessarily going to find your dirty jokes, bodily functions or any other boorish behavior charming. Even if they’ve been drinking, they’re going to be nonplussed by this kind of thing. Save this behavior for guy’s night out or better yet, just cut it out altogether).

2. They really don’t want to know about all of your sexual conquests and previous relationships. They also won’t be thrilled to have a guy they’re on a date with greeted by every gal in the house. Take your date somewhere where you don’t usually go and whatever you do, don’t talk about your ex.

3. They won’t particularly care for you showing up dressed in your cleaning the garage outfit with a pizza. OK – there are times when this is appropriate, but this happens later on in a relationship (my advice, don’t let this happen ever). For the time being, take a shower and wear something decent before you show up at her place. Better yet, ditch the pizza and bring flowers instead.

4. They’re not going to like seeing you use coupons on a date. Big no no here. While we can all use a bargain given the state of the economy at the moment, save those coupons for dining out with family and friends instead. Your date is worth full price and you’ll want her to know that.

5. I’ve already mentioned this, but it bears repeating for a lot of guys. Women are not, repeat, not going to love your frat house behavior. Leave this kind of behavior where it belongs – back in college. The half of the world which is female will thank you, really.
